The SideMount L20 (Classic) series LED (Light-Emitting Diode) lights, with a power of 20 Watts and a luminance of 1700 lumens, are equipped with fixed focus heads and lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery packs with capacities from 10.4 Ah to 40.8 Ah. They feature a tilt switch with a rubber cap.
The color of the light emitted by the LEDs has a color temperature of 6500° K, which gives a slightly blue tint. Thanks to this, during diving, the point of light is more visible even in very bright water, which facilitates communication between divers.
A characteristic feature of the fixed focus head is a strongly focused (10 °) beam of light with a distinct glow. This is an excellent basic light for diving in caves, wrecks or oceans.
The Goodman handle is wide enough to use it with dry gloves in cold water. The handle has height adjustment, in which the thread has been reinforced so that it does not corrode under the influence of salt water. It is also equipped with a rubber cord that allows for a more convenient change of the hand holding the head of the flashlight while sailing on a scooter.
Banana connectors make it much easier to prepare the lighting for diving, as well as to store the equipment when it is not in use. They guarantee a simple connection of the power supply inside the container, and also facilitate charging the batteries. The use of long contacts with a movable sleeve covering the banana connector minimizes the possibility of a short circuit when connecting the charger. Turning the container cover by 180° allows you to safely fold the equipment for transport. The banana connection system fully guarantees the waterproofness of the batteries to a depth of 150m.
The SM L20 (Classic) flashlight head has a built-in LED indicator, located on the right side of the head and marked „battery indicator”.
The LED diode shows the battery efficiency and provides information on the current battery charge level.
When the battery is on, the LED indicates the following modes:
- green solid: 100% – 16% charge capacity;
- red solid: 15% – 6%;
- red, intermittent: 5% – 0.1%;
